Let's go swimming!

I've been working in professional photography for the last 5 years now. I was doing photography in school before that for an additional 5 years. I have been in my current position at work for the last 2 years. I guess that's why it came as a shock to some of my colleagues recently, when I told them that I had never photographed a swim meet before. Well, yesterday, I did happen to photograph my first swim meet, and I think it went pretty well. I got there pretty early, partially to let my gear get used to the temperature, and partially to figure out shooting angles, and ask where I can go and what I can use, without getting thrown out. I was told that I could not use flash, which really bummed me out, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

As for the actual photos, I would love some feedback. I like the effect you get when the swimmers are under water, and you get the natural photoshop ripple filter. :)

Also, the diving, to me was the hardest to get good shots of. Focus was an issue at first, and then angles, and timing. Basically, everything became a factor when shooting the divers. I did, end up with an interesting 'off the frame' shot though.

Then, there's the disappearing face (which i'm sure is common, but i liked it anyway), the time exposure, and the pan (which, after about 100 tries, i think i got a good one). Pretty fun day, but I'm bringing deodorant with me next time.
